While it is uncertain whether or not we are going to adopt this particular look here in L.A., we have found what may be our favorite item this season. Rouge Dior 565 Lipstick.
Your first reaction may be to cringe at the idea of hot pink but we have 2 tips for how to wear this little number:
1. Less is more: No need to overdo it with eye make up if you wear this color. A little mascara if you are wearing it in the daytime or just a bit of black liner if you want to wear it at night. The best news is, you don’t have to get fancy with your hair as a bun or natural look will be perfect. The focus is on your lips.
2. Less is more (again!): Keep the clothes you wear in neutral beiges, black and white. If you have any type of matching pink accessory (scarf, purse or even nail polish), pair it with that.
If you are intrigued but still intimidated by such a bold statement, you can check out Chiara Ferragni’s blog The Blonde Salad. She has been wearing the color all this week, so you can see the different looks she puts together to carry it off and get inspired.
Dior also has a new line of charming lipsticks as part of their Be Iconic campaign. They have captured every woman’s dream in this video at their website, starring Kate Moss.
