Grilled Figs

bites_figs

This grilled fig recipe is a great appetizer when you need to impress but don’t have the time (or the cash) to get fancy. Figs and goat cheese have a rustic quality, giving the impression that you have been in the kitchen all day. Sometimes it’s best to go back to the basics, pick quality ingredients and keep it simple.

Ingredients:
20 figs
200g goat cheese
Rosemary
Salt & pepper

Method:
Cut each fig into quarters but stop 1cm from bottom so as to leave the base intact (see photo). Open the figs, put a teaspoon of goat cheese in each one of them, decorate with fresh rosemary and grill for 5min in the oven. Season with salt & pepper.
