LA Days with Emily Labowe

For the first in our LA Days series, we would like to introduce you to our latest girl crush, model Emily Labowe. We would best describe her as California's answer to Jane Birkin crossed with a Sofia Coppola character.

When we got to Emily's place, she brought us to see her gorgeous view of the San Fernando Valley, jammed on her drums and showed us her latest hobby: embroidering underwear with hearts and astrological symbols for her friends. We are going to need a pair!

After spending the afternoon together, we couldn't help but fall in love with her muse-like charm, sweet smile and carefree style.

You were born and raised in LA. What was it like growing up here?

I loved it!  I grew up in the valley and I had a pretty rad childhood.

Something you don’t know about me:

I have a metal plate in my arm from a car accident a few years back. I'm a bionic woman.

What or who inspired you to become a model?

I’ve always done shoots on the side for friends growing up, but I recently got signed a few months ago. I'm not really sure who or what inspired me. I love trying on clothes and playing a part so its fun!

Where is your favorite spot to meet with friends?

Probably Cafe De Leche or Dinosaur for an almond latte or Cafe Stella for drinks and cheese!

How has LA influenced your personal style?

I'm not very into high fashion or being "in style.” I like to be comfortable and I pretty much have a uniform. I tend to dress in a lot of my boyfriends clothes. I wear his trousers almost everyday and a comfy tee and Converse.

When I’m not modeling, you can find me…

Practicing drums!

One of my best beauty secrets:

I don't have an intense beauty regime, but I use Jason chamomile body wash in the shower and it makes you smell really good :)

Runyon Canyon or Temescal Hiking Tail?

Fryman Canyon! It's by my house and I know it like the back of my hand, but if I had to choose, Runyon.

After a long day, I like to decompress by…

Watching Curb or Seinfeld and drawing or embroidering. I've recently turned into a grandma, I love embroidering!

What’s your favorite song to listen to before a night out?

Whips and Furs by The Vibrators

Last movie that made me cry from laughter:

Night At The Roxbury
